Holidays!!!

Published by Lene and Bry Family under on 12/11/2010
Well the holiday's have been very fun so far. Halloween was exhausting, because it was on Sunday I felt like I had to do extra things for the kids to make sure they didn't miss going trick or treating.
Kate was a beautiful ballerina,

Conner was "Luke Skywalker Jedi with a green lightsaber",

Sariah was a butterfly,

and Kyle was a pumpkin.

Even though I was tired the kids had so much fun, thank goodness.

Thanksgiving was a blast. I now see why it is Bryan's favorite holiday. This year was a small Thanksgiving my oldest sister with her two girls, my parents and younger sister and our family. My parents t.v. broke the day before Thanksgiving which was even nicer so we didn't have to yell over it. The food was wonderful and we had leftover for 2 days straight. We were able to skype my family back in Utah so I even got to see them. I think they liked seeing Kyle the best.
Then on Monday was Bryan's birthday which he was able to get off so that was a added bonus. He likes his birthdays simple, go out with me and then some cake and ice cream at night. I had so much fun with him, it was nice.
I know am getting into the Christmas spirit. I put the tree up right after Thanksgiving but it just didn't feel like Christmas in our house until I put all the other decorations up. I just finish today and now I feel warm and peaceful and ready for Christmas. I've had the shopping done for awhile now I just need to wrap them. I can't wait to make more goodies and start giving some to our neighbors. This is the first year that I actually have neighbors I say hi to when I see them. I pray that everyone has a fun and relaxing Christmas and hold your loved ones near.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and Happy New Year!!!

First for Kyle

Well tonight Kyle had his first cereal. I'm glad I waited until 5 1/2 months to give him cereal, he ate the whole thing and liked it. I can't wait to give him veggies and fruit. I was a hesitant to start giving him it because I didn't want to admit he was growing up. He his still a very happy and smiley boy. I can't imagine life without him. His arm is healing very well. He is moving it all over to grab for toys and hair, Kate and Sariah aren't big on this. I love it when he laughs, it's very contagious. He's starting to sit up on his own now also. I love my baby boy I hope he will grow to be like his big brother Conner, cute and funny.

My boys

Conner has been very nervous about holding Kyle, I guess when you say be careful he doesn't trust himself. Well I finally got them two together and man they are so cute. Now Conner loves to hold Kyle. I love my boys.

Funny girl

Sariah is so funny. I was at my moms the other day and my mom was trying on some dresses for her 50th school reunion. Well she was asking me what kind of shoes to wear, comfy or cute. Of course I like the cute ones, well after I said this Sariah came in the room and we asked her what she thought. It is so fun to ask a 2 1/2 year old what they think, they won't lie. Well she came in and said, "Grandma you look so beautiful. Oh No, No, No, No, you can't wear those! Come on, you need new ones." She proceeded to the bedroom and grabbed the cute pair of shoes and said, "Now that's cute." I about died laughing. The things that come out of this little girl mouth are wonderful. My mom turned to me and said, "I guess I should just ask Sariah what to wear." I love that she is so young and yet still knows what is cute or not.

Kyle

Well Kyle has been growing like crazy. His arm is improving everyday. He's a little over 2 months and he is already wearing 3-6 months clothes. He has two expressions, very serious, and smiling. It is very hard to capture a smile on camera but I promise it is precious. He has dimples like the rest of the kids, his left one is deeper than the right. The funnest thing is when he does smile at you, you can see it in his eyes before he grins. All the kids love his eyes, it is the first thing that comes out of their mouths when they come and see him. He is sleeping very well now from 9:30pm-5:00am, then he goes right back to sleep again until 8am. We had his baby blessing on the 5th over Labor Day weekend. I had some family that was able to come, Todd and Amber, Craig and Denise, Diane and Kevin, Mom and Dad and friends of Bryan and I from San Francisco, Don and America. It was a wonderful blessing, we were able to do it at my parents house because I just had surgery and wasn't able to make it to church. It was so peaceful and I was able to enjoy and listen to the whole blessing. I haven't been able to do that since Kate. I love my little man so much. He is still very much a mamma's boy.

Playing catch up

Well it's been two months since I last posted something, and a lot has happened. Kate turned 7, Kyle has started smiling and laughing, I had surgery, and Kyle has also started moving his right arm.
Kate's birthday was very fun, we had a swim party at grandma's again this year. She was able to invite some new friends from church. We just did pizza and cupcakes. They played for a couple hours and had a blast. She got some cool toys, her favorites were her small couch for her room and a homework table. She loves to sit and read on it. The funniest thing about this birthday is that she kept saying, "I have only one more year until I can get baptised." I'm glad she is excited about that. She stared school two days after her birthday. I think I was more nervous than her. She knew 3 of the girls in her class because of church, which was so nice. Her teacher seems very nice and she likes her a lot. Here are some fun pictures of her from her birthday and school.

Little Boy Here!

Published by Lene and Bry Family under on 7/08/2010
Well one week ago I had Kyle Aaron Richmond. He came at 10:38pm weighing 8lbs 7oz and 20 1/2 inches long. He is such a sweet boy, he loves to just look at me and loves to hear me talk to him. I love it. We both had a rough delivery but are healing nicely. Everyone loves him so much. Sariah will just come in and wants to look at him all day. I am so happy she loves him so much, I was a little worried. Kate and Conner also love their little brother. They all want to kiss him and just watch him all day. I have very sweet kids that love each other and I'm so glad.

Here are some cute pictures!

Here is the details of the day of delivery for anyone who likes the messy and gross details. Let me first start by saying on Tuesday the 29th I started having contractions at 1am and they got closer and harder around 5am. I went to Labor and Delivery at 9am with them 3 min. apart. I was in so much pain and they were really close I really thought I was in labor. Well the midwife checked and I was only at a 2. I walked around for an hour to see if I was going to progress and well I didn't. They sent me home, I was still having very hard 3-5 min. apart contractions. I took some very needed pain meds to help me rest and try to get rid of the contractions. It worked kinda. For the next two days I still had contractions every 12-15 min. They were always getting stronger. I just thought I would have my doctor get things started for me on my appointment on the 1st. I had 2 doctor appointments that day, one at the stress test and then to the regular doctor. Well the testing place went fine everything was looking normal so I left and went to the doctors appointment. Since I had been contracting like crazy this week I told her that I didn't want to wait anymore and to see if she could just strip my membrane's (I know gross right). Well she checked to see if I made any progress since I had been having contractions. I was at 4-5 centimeter dilated and 50% effaced. She said I was already in active labor and to go back to labor and delivery I was having the baby today. I was completely shocked. I was walking around feeling good and actually had energy to do stuff and I was at a 4-5. Well I went back to labor and delivery and they got started with patocin right away to get thing started. I got an epidural around 5pm, contraction were painful with the patocin. My doctor came at 9pm broke my water and I was ready to push at 10:15pm. Well that's when things started to go wrong. He was crowning and I was pushing really good but he wasn't coming any further. His heart rate started going down so she proceeded to cut me so he had more room to come. Well that worked his head came right out. Then it really got scary, I was in so much pain something was wrong I knew it, I couldn't breath it was so painful. Well then I hear the doctor call "Code Shoulder" the room got very busy 1 second later. There were so many doctors and nurses to help Kyle when he finally came out. Well I obviously didn't have a clue what was going on. This is what Bryan told me later what happened. After his head came out his shoulders got stuck. The doctor was able to get one arm out but everything else was stuck she had to pull him out. He was very purple and blue. The doctors took him over and started working on him. After about 2 min he finally starting crying, it was so wonderful to hear that. He started to pink up really good. They gave him to me for a little while but he was still not doing great so they took him to the nursery. They finished sowing me up and I rested for a little while. Well when I went to my room I got to see him and they said his right arm got damaged during delivery. He moves his hand and wrist fine but can't move his shoulder or elbow. He will have to have physical therapy for it, but at least he is here and healthy in every other aspect. It turns out that his shoulders were the same size as his head 36 centimeters. I guess that is very rare most babies shoulders are smaller, his not so much. Bryan gave him a blessing a couple of days after we got home. It was beautiful and I know he will get though this. We are both doing much better, like I said he will be going through physical therapy for awhile, but I know he will get through this healed and closer to me. I love my family and wouldn't change it for the world. I get so blessed with every child I have.

ER visits

Published by Lene and Bry Family under on 6/14/2010
Well you know that the month of June will be just great when you start it at the ER. Sariah was playing around the lazy boy chair and jumped and hit her head right on the metal hinges. As we were getting the bleeding to stop we noticed it was pretty deep. We went into the ER and 3 hours later came out with a surgical glue and a bandage. She was pretty good, we got her a treat for being so good. So now all 3 of our kids have scares on their faces somewhere. Kate on her chin, Conner on the forehead as well as Sariah. I guess she really wants to be like her big brother. It's even in the same spot. Sorry no photos of it, camera has been packed in the hospital bag for when I go into labor.

May Fun

Published by Lene and Bry Family under on 6/13/2010

I know May is all over but we did some fun things. Kate finished 1st grade, and did really well. When we moved I started homeschooling her for the last couple of months. I think we both really liked it. At least now I know I can do it. We went on a quick family vacation before I got to pregnant. We went to Windsor, which is near Santa Rosa by the Peanuts Museum. We got to swim and watch movies for a whole weekend. Man was it relaxing and fun. For Memorial Day weekend we went to a friends house to play. I was good to see them again. Over all a good month, just got sick a couple of times and not too bad.

My Big Boy

Published by Lene and Bry Family under on 4/21/2010
Well Conner had his 4th birthday at the end of March. For his birthday we went to Fairytale Town. We had so much fun running around and seeing all the animals. Conner has grown so much over the last year, both physically and socially. I love my boy so much. The doctor said he is probably going to be tall and skinny, like his Dad. To get Conner to eat or do something we always have to tell him "If you want to be big like Dad you have to eat." It usually works. He is such a funny little boy, he comes up with funny faces and funny ways of doing thing without anyone showing him it. He is very athletic, we went to the park and they have a rock wall that is for bigger kids but Conner didn't let it stop him. I helped him the first time and then he was off and climbing no problem after that. When he goes on walks he hates to walk, he will jog the whole time and not be breathing hard at all by the end. He will definitely be a long distance runner if he keeps this up. I love my "Big" boy.

Wow So Behind

Published by Lene and Bry Family under on 4/20/2010
Well it have been almost 2 months since I've written anything. A lot has happened. We moved in March 1 and love it. Had two birthday and are now homeschooling my oldest. I'm trying to think if I just write everything now and have one big post or do it in sections.
Well I'll start with the move. We have been in our home for about a month and a half. We are loving it. Within the first night here the kids felt right at home. They ran around like they have been here forever. I can't believe how fast everything went with getting the house. We have been very blessed. We were lucky and only had to do one minor repair when we moved in. Our master bathroom toilet needed replacing. Now it look so good and I don't feel like I'm going to fall when I use it. Of course there are lots of things I want to change but they aren't falling apart so no rush. There are more pressing things that need to be done before this little guy comes. I really love our new home and so happy to be here.
Sariah had her 2nd birthday in February. She is so 2. Getting into everything, wanting to do everything by herself, and crying over everything she can't do. She is a great talker though. She a little adult when it comes to talking. People are amazed when she starts talking. They always ask if she really is 2. She has the most infectious smile, when she gives you a grin you can't help but smile back. Her hair has grown out so much that I can now do pig tails, but I call them "The Yes Tails". When her hair is up and bouncing around and asks for something everyone keeps saying yes. I told her she couldn't have a treat one day and she went to daddy and asked him, he took one look at her and she just smiled with her hair up and he said "yeah, let's go get a treat". The funny thing about the "yes tails" are that as soon as she takes them out everyone is able to tell her no again. We love are Sariah, she is a joy to have in our family.

We're Pregnant

Well we are expecting another baby boy in July. The best part of the ultrasound is seeing your little one rolling around. I am very blessed to have 3 beautiful children and so excited to have another one coming. Kate, Conner and Sariah are all very excited to have another brother. Kate loves how we have a pattern girl, boy, girl, boy in the family. As of now we have a name picked Kyle Dean, but until he is born and it fits it's temporary. As Kate says everyday "I can't wait until I see this beautiful little boy"

Moving

Published by Lene and Bry Family under on 2/11/2010

Well this time it actually is going to happen. We are moving to Elk Grove! After the last house fell through I was kind of discouraged about looking because all the bank owned homes were being bought by investors who had cash. I thought that we would never find anything. Then a house came up, it wasn't bank owned, we looked and really liked it and put in a offer. I was not thinking we would get it. Well 2 days later they accepted our offer and wanted to get it going. Things have been going really fast, we put in our offer on January 24 and are closing February 26. Everything about this house fits our family perfect. It's 4 bedroom 2 bath, in a court, nice size backyard, and close to my parents. I'm so excited to move into a home, I know there are so many responsibilities that go with a home but I can't wait. We've been in an apartment are whole married life. Finally to move on. The best thing about this is my husband is excited to host game nights, movie nights, and having friends over our place finally. We have felt so cut off from friends because we never felt comfortable having people over at our apartment. That's going to change now. Here are the listing pictures, I will have new ones as soon as I can.
